1. Who we are

AutoSiteAI operates the website generation service at getautositeai.com. We help small businesses create websites using AI. Questions? Email legal@autositeai.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

  • Account data — email address and name (via Clerk authentication).
  • Business information — name, description, location, and phone number you enter when generating a site.
  • Generated content — AI-produced website data stored so you can access and edit it later.
  • Payment data — billing details processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
  • Usage data — pages visited and features used, collected via Google Analytics.
  • Email engagement — open/click events on emails we send, used only to improve our sequences.

We do not collect government IDs, medical records, legal documents, or financial account numbers.

3. How we use your data

  • Generating and storing your website.
  • Processing payments and managing your subscription.
  • Sending transactional emails (site ready, payment receipts, suspension notices).
  • Sending marketing emails if you opted in — unsubscribe any time via the link in any email or at getautositeai.com/legal/unsubscribe.
  • Improving our AI product features (aggregated, never individually identified).

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with these infrastructure providers:

  • Anthropic — your business description is sent to Claude AI to generate your site.
  • Clerk — authentication and identity management.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — email delivery.
  • Vercel / Neon — hosting and database infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated usage analytics.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and site data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing for direct marketing purposes.

8. Your rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know — what personal information we collect and how it is used.
  • Delete — request deletion of your personal information.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled by Clerk. Payment data is tokenised by Stripe. We apply industry-standard security practices.

10. Children

AutoSiteAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us immediately if you believe a child has provided us data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
